The Newcastle Elementary PTSA is launching the Math Challenge for all grades K-5th. It's a fun way for students to stretch their problem-solving skills all year long. No sign-up, no cost. Every student can choose to participate as frequently as they want.
15 Challenges - posted to Newcastle's Math Challenge website every other Friday • First challenge posts Friday, October 9 at noon, at mathinaction.org/newcastle • A new one every other Friday after that, through April 30 • Submit answers online by the Thursday before the next one posts • Solve 12 or more correctly to earn a prize
These aren't homework. They're the kind of problems worth arguing about at the dinner table — so pull in a sibling, a parent, a neighbor. Working together is encouraged!
